I am very experienced in working with leadership personnel in strengthening their skills to constructively manage people and implement strong skills. Conflict is very difficult for most managers and employees to confront which damages the functioning of teams. This is an area of leadership that is in need of much support and training.
Many individuals are promoted to lead positions without the necessary leadership skills
Without these skills, many experience avoidable problems between employees or work teams. These are often referred to as “soft skills” of leadership. Those who do these well are very successful. Without these skills, a leader’s ability to lead effectively and productively can be seriously impaired which, at times, can lead to demotion or termination.
In these situations, I am able to serve as a neutral coach and work with these individuals to strengthen or build a needed skill set. Often a new or struggling supervisor needs assistance in the “soft skills” of management. A struggling department or Team Lead would also benefit from such skills. Further because I am a third party, the concerns of discipline or poor evaluations are not hovering over our work together.
I am also educated in many other issues that managers and employees need training. For example, Bullying in the Workplace, Sexual Harassment and Boundary Invasion are just a few of the topics that employees at every level should be well versed. I am experienced training large and small groups in these important and often mandated matters.
